

TA-NOURA — Branding & Visual Identity
A playful yet elegant brand identity capturing the spirit of originality, craftsmanship, and personal touch for a handmade fashion label.
Overview: TA-NOURA is a unique fashion brand founded by Noura, specializing in handmade, one-of-a-kind skirts that blend creativity with individuality. The name cleverly merges her name with “Tanoura,” the Arabic word for skirt — creating a brand that is personal, memorable, and rooted in cultural meaning. The client sought a visual identity that would communicate originality and artisanal quality while appealing to a style-conscious audience. I was tasked with designing the brand from scratch, covering everything from the logo to clothing tags and packaging.
My role: Lead Designer — creative direction, logo design, brand strategy, visual identity system, packaging and label design, production-ready artwork.
Challenge: The challenge was to create a brand that felt both personal and professional — something that would stand out in the handmade fashion space while reflecting the uniqueness of each product. The design needed to work across multiple applications, from small-scale clothing labels to larger marketing materials, without losing its charm or clarity.
Approach: I began with moodboards exploring colors, typography, and textures inspired by handmade craft, elegance, and playful individuality. After developing three distinct brand concepts, we refined the chosen direction into a sophisticated yet approachable identity. The logo combined clean typography with subtle, fashion-inspired details. We extended the identity to fabric labels, hang tags, and packaging — ensuring a cohesive, polished look that aligned with the brand’s artisanal roots.
Deliverables: Logo design, brand style guide, fabric label designs, hang tag designs, packaging concepts, and digital assets for marketing.
Outcome: The new identity gave TA-NOURA a strong and memorable presence in the handmade fashion market. The cohesive visual system elevated the brand, helping it communicate its values of originality, care, and craftsmanship. The elegant yet distinctive look positioned the label as both personal and aspirational, resonating with its target customers.
