Zayed National Museum 2025 — Graphic Design Management & Visual Systems
A large-scale cultural launch experience designed to translate the UAE’s living heritage into a cohesive visual language across print, digital, and spatial touchpoints.
Overview: The Zayed National Museum opening programme marked a significant cultural milestone in Abu Dhabi, celebrating the legacy, identity, and living heritage of the United Arab Emirates. Delivered in collaboration with HQ Worldwide Shows (HQWS), the month-long programme transformed the museum into a dynamic cultural environment—blending performance, storytelling, and participatory learning across indoor and outdoor spaces.
As part of this landmark launch, the challenge extended beyond traditional event branding: it required building a unified visual system capable of supporting a complex, multi-day programme that engaged diverse audiences while reflecting the depth, continuity, and authenticity of Emirati culture.
My role: Graphic Design Manager — leading visual direction, design production, and cross-platform consistency across print and digital outputs.
Scope & Contribution: Working closely with HQWS Dubai, I led and managed the design and production of all graphic communication materials for the opening programme. This included overseeing visual output for symposiums, public programming, and launch-related events, while ensuring a cohesive and refined visual language across all touchpoints.
I directed the creation of booklets, editorial layouts, printed collateral, and digital assets, aligning them with the cultural narrative and operational needs of the programme. My role required balancing creative vision with large-scale execution, coordinating across teams, timelines, and formats to deliver a seamless visitor experience.
Challenge: The primary challenge was scale and narrative complexity: designing a flexible yet consistent visual system that could support a wide range of formats—from formal symposium materials to dynamic public programming and event communications.
The design needed to be culturally sensitive, contemporary, and highly functional—capable of guiding visitors, supporting storytelling, and enhancing engagement without overpowering the authenticity of the content. Maintaining consistency across multiple teams, deliverables, and fast-paced production timelines was critical to the success of the programme.
Deliverables: Visual communication system, editorial and booklet design, symposium materials, printed collateral, social media assets, event graphics, and supporting design outputs across the opening programme.
Outcome: The opening programme was delivered through a cohesive and carefully managed visual system that supported both the cultural narrative and the operational complexity of the event. The design enhanced clarity, engagement, and accessibility across all touchpoints, contributing to a seamless and immersive visitor experience.
By aligning visual communication with the programme’s storytelling approach, the project reinforced the museum’s vision of heritage as a living, evolving practice—positioning the launch as both a cultural milestone and a contemporary design achievement.
